Subject    5/25/2018 - - Potatoes
Body
  • Market remains steady. Be aware that large sizes will continue to sell at a premium until the end of the season.
  • Small cartons look as though prices and supply will stay steady for rest of the season as Idaho seems to have plenty on hand.
  • This is keeping the market somewhat subdued. Consumer packs do have the potential to increase in price in WA yet are holding for the near future.
  • Several shippers now are running lighter schedules in WA to make supplies last into spring.
  • Overall, Russet supply may be short before regular seasons end.  Mostly Burbanks remain in Idaho with a smaller size profile.
  • There are a few Norkotahs left.  FOB's are a bit higher especially on larger sizes. Organic Russets are finished.
