  • Red and Black Plum varieties available now.  Supplies remain on the light side with volume to improve.

Body
  • Very tight supplies on ALL SIZES and grades. Market continues to increase weekly and it isn't slowing demand down one bit.
  • District 2 is struggling for size and color at this time. Demand continues to out pace harvests (with getting labor now being an issue as well).
  • Overall, the fruit is packing clean with occasional scars.   Advanced booking is a MUST right now and pro-rations are likely.
  • The next relief on this crop "may" come when imports start arriving mid-June but this is not for sure.
  • These will be very light as well over the next 4-6 weeks before they hopefully hit bigger volume.
  • TRUCKS not loading on the day fruit is becoming an issue supplies are so tight it is imperative trucks load the day ordered.
  • Fruit tends to disappear if left on the floor.

  • Fruit from this area is peaking on 48's and we are seeing some larger ones as well. Maturity is high and ready to eat (Yum).
  • Peru is now also available with light numbers and maturity... volume won't be huge this year coming into the U.S.
  • As in product from the other areas the market for this is strong and steady at this time. Demand continues to grow and supplies are short.
