  • Apple market pricing continues to be stronger on most varieties.
  • The movement & shorter crop continues to keep pricing on the higher end.
  • Small sizes 100s/smaller continue to be tighter & almost non-existent on Granny Smith & Golden Delicious.
  • Although, Granny Smith have been more available the past couple weeks.
  • Food service sizes 113-198s on most varieties will be tight in WA for the rest of the season. Overall quality has been good.
  • There are various deals on a few items, mostly Red Delicious & a few large Granny Smith.

  • Market is steady again this week.
  • Both Yellow and Red Medium sizes will be tight all season and are demanding a slightly higher FOB than the Jumbos. 
  • Many shippers are out of White onions for the season in WA mixer volume remains. 
  • Mexican White and Yellows should start crossing in bigger numbers.  There are some that say volume will be down this season. 
  • This could have an adverse effect on storage supplies.  Yellow Sweets are available. All colors of Organics are available as well.

  • NW C.A. storage Bartletts are almost done for the season with most shippers.
  • Storage Bartlett supplies are are tighter, as shippers pack out the last of their rooms.
  • Most all will finish in February, with some going longer. Bosc, D'Anjou, Red Anjou, Comice, & Seckel  pears available.
  • There's various deals on Bosc, Seckel & Comice. Quality is good.
  • Overall, a good mix of sizes available, but smaller sizes have gotten a little tighter.
  • Much like the apples, pear pricing continues to be on the stronger side. Small D'Anjou have become tighter over the past couple weeks.

  • Eastern WA has availability of Yellow & Red potatoes. Organic Red and Yellows are available in Eastern WA as well. 
  • Mt. Vernon District - good supplies of Red and Yellow. Heavy to the size A this season. Whites are finishing soon, there's a handful left.
  • Good quality and excellent color on all four colors including Fingerlings are available as well as Organics.
  • California has White and Yellow onions now. Most Reds in CA are being brought down from WA.  
  • Idaho is in good supply of nice Reds and Yellows. California has a handful of Whites and Yellows, Red volume to increase soon.

  • Carton Russets prices remain strong. DEMAND is good for both domestic and export movement.
  • Given the short supply projection for the 2018/2019 crop, look for large cartons to remain strong.
  • They will possibly increase in price over the next few months.   
  • Consumer size russets are steady on good supplies.
  • Idaho:  Norkotah supplies will produce bigger sizes with lower prices.
  • While Burbanks tend towards smaller profiles and consumer packs with higher priced large cartons.  
  • Russet organics are available in most districts. Overall, quality is excellent in all growing districts this season.

  • Cold weather throughout all growing regions continues to hamper growth.
  • Supplies continue on the light side in both the desert and Santa Maria, and are expected to stay that way this week.
  • The forecast for the deserts shows a warming trend toward the end of the week which should help volume…down the road.
  • Prices remain firm, and may increase if demand perks up a little. Quality is still fair to good with purpling still showing up around.
  • We will see broccoli starting up in the Salinas Valley in early March.

  • Cantaloupe is sizing mostly 9/12 with much better supplies this this week.  Market has adjusted for supplies. 
  • Quality good on all offshore (Honduras / Costa Rica) with color on the light tan side.
  • Weather across the country has slowed demand. Which continued last week and expected again this week.
  • Honeydew market remains up.  This is due to lack of supplies. Demand continues to be strong

  • Mexico increased supplies which has helped the lower the market slightly.  Quality is good with excellent sugar/flavor.

  • Navel sugar and color are nice; with the fruit packing out clean heavy to fancy but more choice is starting to show up due to weather.

  • Sizing is peaking 88/113/72 and there are a few larger lots starting to show up. 

  • Demand for large fruit continues good and those are the only sizes demanding strong money.  113/138 supplies are plentiful and market is down.

  • Growing areas are expecting heavy rains over the weekend into early part of next week.

  • This will limit supplies slightly again the beginning part of the week.

  • Cara Cara oranges are peaking 113/138/88's similar to Navels.  This variety is looking very nice and eating well this year. 

  • Packing mostly in 1/2 cartons but full cartons are available on request.

  • Blood Oranges are packing up in 1/2 cartons. Exterior color looking nice with deep interior color.  Like all Orange varieties they are small 113/138/88.

  • Calif Ruby Grapefruit size is peaking 40/36 and color is improving. 
  • We will have supplies for a few months and will see some light supplies of Organic available to load out of southern Calif.
  • Mandarins (WMurcotts) are going and are peaking around a 36 size.... large fruits are being snapped up by retailers.
  • Very good supplies this year.  Stem and Leaf are now available as well. Market is steady.
  • Minneola are going with the fruit peaking on 100/120's with Central Calif slowly getting started due to all the rains last few weeks.
  • Color and sugar on these is great right now.  Large sizes (80/64's) are lighter in volume..... book ahead if needed.

  • California treefruit is starting to bloom....rains and cold temps are not slowing it down but are tempering the bee movement. 
  • Clock is ticking to stonefruit starting in late April early May.
  • We have supplies and various packs of Arils (Pomegranate seeds) now packing from Peru with Chilean fruit starting the end of March.
  • We can offer a variety of pack sizes packed to order.
  • Asian Pears are expected to be back in volume the end of this week with imports.  Will be packed in 1 & 2 layer trays.
  • Off shore Tree fruit from Chile on Peaches/ Nectarines/ Red Plums/ Cherries.
